Modern Messaging Infographic
Many times I’ve found that people can’t communicate effectively or efficiently. They choose the wrong medium or channel to get a message across, and sometimes it even reflects so badly on the person that it prevents us from doing business with him or her.
At the end of the day, my theory is that your message dictates which communication medium you choose. There are various outlets we can use and differing levels of privacy that we expect.
As a result, I’ve created a (pseudo) infographic to modern communication.

First Snow Day in a Winter Wonderland
I was a little older than you’d expect a world traveler to be.
While most people first play in snow as young children or beginning adolescence, I didn’t. For whatever reason, my family found it necessary to regularly go to the white sands of Mexico like clockwork. Many times, we went multiple times a year. But I never got to the white beaches of snow until this past winter.
Unlike a little child playing with snow on the street, my first snow day was in NYC’s Central Park.
After 21 years, it seemed like a good place to start.
Riding in a taxi one afternoon between very tall buildings under a mauve and rosy sky, I began to bawl because I had everything I wanted and knew I would never be so happy again.
Gatsby’s Age
A house that sat on the Gold Coast, the inspiration for F. Scott Fitzgerald’s “The Great Gatsby” and more famously known as Gatsby’s house, was tragically torn down yesterday due to its dilapidated state.
As an avid Gatsby fan—someone, in fact, who calls himself Gatsby—I’m both deeply saddened and inspired by this revelation. Far be it a cry that the American Dream has perished, but more so a greater representation that one can’t carry well-forgotten dreams from age to age.
Yet, I have not forgotten my dream. As a young middle-class boy, I conceived an idealistic dream and will be faithful to it until the very end. So as the boats beat on, I will continue to be Gatsby and build the next house of lavish parties and envious atmosphere.
The New Gatsby
My adoration for Gatsby is well-known. I have read the book over one hundred times on a continuous loop. When I finish it, I begin again on page one. I have embraced Gatsby. I have referred to myself as Gatsby, and others have called me Gatsby and Gatsby-like.
But many have apparently been unsure why I adore Gatsby. Without a lengthy explanation of beautiful constructed sentences and discourse you wouldn’t read, here is the simplified version.
Never lose the child like wonder. It’s just too important. It’s what drives us. Help others.
